Florida Georgia Line's Inaugural FGL Fest Canceled Due to Weather

September 9, 2018

Florida Georgia Line's inaugural FGL Fest was canceled last minute due to severe weather.

FGL Fest was scheduled to take place on Saturday (Sept. 8) at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Ind. According to a joint statement issued by the track and Live Nation, the event could not go forward because of the torrential rains that are sweeping the area.

“We deeply regret to announce that today’s FGL Fest at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been canceled,” the statement reads. “This decision was made after a comprehensive review of current and forecasted weather conditions, and with the safety of event attendees as our top priority.”

The announcement came just a few short hours before gates were to open and artists including FGL, Cole Swindelland Raelynn were to take the stage. Additional artists who were scheduled to perform at FGL Fest included Nelly, Jillian Jacqueline, Mason Ramsey, Stephanie Quayle and Riley Green.

Tyler also took to instagram to personally apologize.

Guess this wasn’t the right weekend for #fglfest. No worries Indy, we’ll be back to make it up to y’all and I promise it’ll be worth the wait.
