Daniels passed away on July 6 after suffering a stroke. Immediately, musicians took to social media to pay tribute to the Country legend.

"Thank you for all your contributions on and off the stage. God bless you Charlie Daniels," Luke Bryan wrote.

“He was one of the nicest/kindest people I have ever met. Thanks for the musical legacy u left all of us. We will miss you Mr. Charlie!” Jason Aldean tweeted.

“Every time I had the pleasure of being around him, he was one of most genuine, kind and thoughtful folks I've ever run across,” Tim McGraw said.

The state of Tennessee will salute the late Charlie Daniels this Friday by flying flags at half-mast from sunrise until sunset. His funeral is set to take place this Friday at the World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, TN. The service will begin at 11 AM.

Travis Tritt, Vince Gill, Gretchen Wilson, and Trace Adkins will perform in honor of Daniels’ life.

In lieu of flowers, the Daniels family requests donations be made to the Journey Home Project. The charity was founded by Daniels and his manager David Corlew in 2014 to help support the needs of U.S. veterans.
