Route 91 Survivors Send Jason Aldean Gifts And Invite Him Back

March 13, 2018

Survivors of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting have created a photo book for the country star, and are inviting him back to Vegas to finish his set.

Tiffany Thomas -- who was at Route 91 the night of the shooting -- created a Facebook group for fellow survivors called 58 Angels 1 Last Set. Through the online community, Thomas met Gina McKin, another survivor, and the two teamed up to create a photo book from the show to send to Aldean.

The two women asked members of the Facebook group to send in their pictures from Route 91 to create the book, which turned out to be 91 pages long. Some of those who contributed also wrote messages to Aldean; various pages of the book are dedicated to different victims and survivors.

The photo book, as well as a few other special mementos, has been sent to Aldean, and they're using the gift to ask the singer to return to Las Vegas for a concert. They'd like the show to be open to survivors of the shooting, their families and families of the 58 people who died.

One of the gifts is a barstool engraved with the 58 names of the victims.

Jason and Brittany Aldean received and opened the gifts yesterday, she shared this on her instagram story:

Aldean was in the middle of his headlining set on the final night of the 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival on Oct. 1 when a gunman opened fire on the crowd from a nearby hotel, killing 58 people and injuring hundreds more. One week after the tragedy, Aldean went back to Las Vegas to visit with victims.

Buz*n at 102.9's Katie Toupal was also in the crowd that night and while Aldean hasn't said if or when he will return, Katie says "one thing's for sure, he'll be welcomed with open arms and all the love from the crowd."
