Somebody Stole $5,000 of Gear from Lindsay Ell's Rental Car

October 15, 2018

Somebody broke into Lindsay Ell's rental car while she was at a writing session in L.A. She posted a photo of herself at the airport looking pretty bummed.

She wrote, "My full backpack got stolen. My wallet.  Lost about $5,000 of gear. Still have my guitars. The only part I'm really sad about is losing song and picture files that were on my hard drive and I hadn't backed up yet."

Rental car got broken into tonight.. I was walking out of the studio and came up to my car to see glass all over the street. My full backpack got stolen. My wallet. Lost about $5k of gear. Still have my guitars. The only part I’m really sad about is losing song and picture files that were on my hard drive and I hadn’t backed up yet. But other than that, stuff is stuff. I’m fine. New things can eventually be replaced. New songs can be written. It’s been a #longnight, but tomorrow is a new day. On the bright side, I did however get this fancy new plastic bag purse!!

The only bright side is that people heard about it and reached out pretty quickly.  Someone even arranged for her to pick out a new backpack.

Got stuck in an elevator yesterday. Got my car broken into. Lost about $5k worth of gear. Lost my wallet. Flew across the country and delta lost my pedal board.... But thanks to @511tactical & @schneiderific, they told me to go shopping and pick out a new #backpack. Thank you #511tactical, y’all are the best and I am so grateful. -------- #amp #newbagnewlife
